You're a Raiders fan and you have a guy you love, but what guy that has a realistic shot of making the team just does nothing for you?

You don't necessarily have to be a Raiders fan to answer this question, the answers could be quite interesting.

Yeah lol the biggest waste on the team is already gone, my prayers were miraculously answered. Ummm Mike Huff maybe. The guys been a huge waste of space for the most part and a very high draft pick. He came on a little bit last year but I'd still rather see him dumped.

So you can take our players and actually give your team some relevance? :icon_thumright:

We got rid of JaMarcus Russell and Javon Walker...

I'd probably say Sam Williams or Charlie Frye.

Funny, coming from a fan of a team that hasn't won more than 5 games since 02. I'll admit, they'll be better this year though, probably 7 wins.

As for who to get rid of.....Al Davis.

    Unfortunately Al isn't a player...

That being said, I think he's already gone or something.

Raiders making good moves during his senility doesn't really make sense.

Ooh, this is a good one, I'd probably give the boot to...ASOMUGHA! Lol kidding.

Michael Bush. Give McFadden all of the carries. Now that Campbell is the QB, defenses will be thinking pass and McFadden will shine.

Alright alright, serious answer, I'd have to go with getting rid of Michael Bush too. From what I've seen, they signed Michael Bennett, and when he was with the Chiefs, he was great as a change-up/breather/3rd down back. So yeah, Bush hands down for me.

We were cellar dwellers for 7 years but at least we're moving on up now. Unlike the Chiefs...:icon_sad:

    **********Automerged Doublepost**********

As for Al Davis...I think he's like Fidel Castro or Kim Jung Il. They're all dead already...the guys at the top just don't want everyone else to know so they have a scapegoat for when they mess up.

I don't know how you can say you're moving up and the Chiefs aren't? You won one more game than we did last season....there's no proof yet that either one of us is moving up.

    1. We actually won against good teams.
    2. We made HUGE improvements on offense. Getting rid of Russell was a HUGE improvement, he actually lost games for us on his own.
    3. Our defense is nasty now with the depth on the front seven. McClain will have plenty of room to do what he wants with Seymour, Henderson, and Kelly in front of him. Our run defense has improved greatly with McClain in the middle, Wimbley on the strong side, Houston on the strong side, Seymour moving to the middle, and the Henderson signing. With that stronger pass rush and run stop, Chris Johnson should do better at CB.

    What did Kansas City do?

    1. Eric Berry. He'll get 100+ tackles just cause your front seven will never get its act together because drafting 4-3 guys and throwing them into a 3-4 system is your specialty.
    2. Dexter McCluster. 2nd round? Seriously? He is NOT the next Percy Harvin. He'll play the slot and get 15 catches and 5 rushes for 10 yards probably.
    3. Javier Arenas. A nickelback and kick returner in the 2nd round?
    4. Thomas Jones. His treads have worn off. Just stick to Jamaal Charles or you'll lose more games than last year.
    5. Dwayne Bowe/Derrick Johnson. When you actually start playing your good players, I'll be more scared of your team.

Thanks for a classic Raiders post. :icon_rolleyes:

Arenas is probably better than Carr, and even if he isn't, we always get burned by the slot on the opposing offense. And don't go into his size, Flowers is short too, but I don't see him being terrible too often.

TJ had the 3rd most rushing yards in the NFL last year, but I actually agree, Jamaal has more talent.

Who cares about Bowe and Johnson? We all know they're terrible, once in awhile they have good games, but this is probably their last year.

My main beef is what you think McCluster is. You probably haven't seen any clips of him right? Well, that's normal for a Raiders fan. You guys have the Al Davis 40-time mindset. LOL 4.4? GTFO FAILURE! Raiders fans, most of all, should know that 40-times don't mean near as much as people think, it's all about game speed. Not to mention, McCluster has sick cuts and reaches top speed in an instant.

Put him in the slot and he'll embarrass any LB or Safety the Raiders put on him.

Arenas is not better than Carr. Carr is solid. I'm not saying Arenas wasn't an improvement. I'm saying you should've filled other positions before nickelback.

Thomas Jones is done. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks that guy has anything left. He ran behind a ridiculously good offensive line and everyone thinks he's good. Hey, guess what happened after he went down and Shonn Greene took over?

McCluster. [sarcasm]Yes, 4.4 speed means I don't like the player.[/sarcasm] The guy is 5'8" and what? 170 lbs? He's not built like Maurice Jones-Drew either, he'll get killed if he's in the slot AND taking reps in the backfield. He'll get injured in the first 6 games of the season running some in route for Cassel and getting killed by a LB or Safety. His speed won't be as much of a factor as it was in college. And you guys took him, hoping to find a big play guy, but IMO he's not going to bring as many big plays as you hope for.

Not saying you guys didn't make improvements, just saying that they're very minor and Kansas City could've done much much better. And honestly, I don't even hate KC, my favorite player is Priest Holmes. I hate the Chokers and Broncos.

  16. Thomas Jones has at least one year. You do know that he will only get so many carries because of Jamaal Charles don't you?

Have you ever watched Mccluster play? He is one tough s.o.b. He has decent power for such a small guy. You can knock him all you want for his height but he can flat out play.

  17. whatadai

Calm down. By done I mean he'll get 100 carries on the year while giving Charles a breaks during the games. Like I said, minor improvements. Giving Charles some rest is an improvement.

Yes, I have seen him play. As for McCluster's "power", we'll wait until the season and see him get killed in the slot or behind that crap offensive line. They improved a little with Lilja, but he's not the same after getting injured.

  18. Bottom line is Thomas Jones will still have a large impact.

He was just fine in the SEC (college football's toughest conference) and at the senior bowl where he had a great week.

McCluster has the same measurements as DeSean Jackson last I checked. I think he's doing alright.

not as fast or as quick as jackson. he'll make an impact but jackson is a rarity
