Adam Schefter reported on ESPN's NFL Live that the general feeling around St. Louis is that Sam Bradford will be starting by Week 3 or 4 this season. A.J. Feeley has been getting the first-team reps with the Rams' offense so far, though we'd expect Bradford to start getting worked more into the equation over the next few weeks. Bradford could have a chance to start by Week 1 if he has a strong preseason.

I'm confused as to why the Rams would put information like this out. Why focus in on a week rather then saying sometime next season?

Why not wait and see how he does in the preseason, much like the Falcons did with Matt Ryan?

I don't think they did "put it out." The "general feeling" just means that people in the organization have a feeling that he'll start around week three or four after Feeley or whoever's starting fails miserably the first couple weeks. I think this title needs a quesion mark.

I hope for his sake he sits the entire year. He is no where close to being ready.

It's ESPN, they're probably reading forums like this to get their speculations.

yep, some qb's have succeeded starting right away but, generally, there is a higher success rate letting someone sit and learn for a year or so .................
