After passing on offensive linemen in the 2008 and '09 drafts, even though it was a position of need, the Raiders drafted two O-linemen this year. Oakland selected OT Jared Veldheer in the third round and OT Bruce Campbell, who will move to guard in the pros, in the fourth round. Evaluators considered them developmental prospects who would require some time to adjust, but word is both rookies have a chance to log significant playing time, if not start, this season. Campbell will get a chance to unseat ORG Cooper Carlisle, an 11th-year veteran, as some observers say Carlisle's performance has declined in recent years. Veldheer could push Khalif Barnes for the starting spot at right tackle.

If they are our best options play them please

  3. Campbell is only playing OG in the short term. His long term projection is as an OT.

They can't have rookies starting at both right offensive linemen, we'll have no running game. Mostly with Campbell.
