Donovan McNabb has a reminder for some of the young Philadelphia Eagles: He's no longer going to be there to absorb the boos. McNabb was back in the Philadelphia area Saturday hosting a football clinic for kids. The six-time Pro Bowl quarterback said he'll always have an attachment to the city where he played for 11 seasons before getting traded to the Washington Redskins in April. Though he was a regular winner during his time with the Eagles, McNabb always drew his share of criticism. Now it's time for the team's next generation to see if they can handle the heat. McNabb said "some young guys always want to get the credit - until they get in the shoes where they're the ones getting the criticism. … I can handle that; some people can't."

this is more McNabb stirring the pot. throwing "young guys" under the bus. Hey Donny, shut the heck up and start thinking about your new job. He can handle the criticism???? then why did he cry about it so much. Man this guy is turning more and more into a snitch every day.

Some people wear from their neck to show who they have devoted their life to. I'm betting you're wearing a #5 around your neck.

Dude he's head on. He's been the brunt of the booing since he was a rookie. Since people wanted Ricky he's been taking the brunt. They can only boo Reid so much to so he's basically wondering if Kolb can take the booing if he doesn't win right away. Or when Djax pulls a pinkston and so on and so forth. It poses a good question. I don't care what anyone says, McNabb is pretty thick skinned. He's taking a CRAP TON of criticism and played his butt off for the Eagles. But in some respects I do wish he'd just stop and not worry about what the Igg's got going these days. Just worry about yoself!

He's dead on...yet doesn't need to say it. Stick to recruiting B. West at your football clinic and worry about QB-ing the Redskins.

I think he has earned the right to say whatever the heck he wants in and about Philly to the day he dies.

What makes me laugh is anyone who thinks Philadelphia fans would pile on all of the criticism for the team on D Mac alone. Are you people nuts? If someone is not playing up to standards/expectations, even for one game, we are on them like flies on crap.

DeSean dropping catches or being a young immature punk at times? Yeah, no one called him out on that.

McCoy wearing down near the end of the season? We all noticed it and called him out.

Reggie Brown's poor play, Peters not living up to expectations, Vick not living up to anything...

Typical of McNabb to act like he shouldered the load for everyone else. No dude, you shouldered your share of the load when you deserved it. Which was often. The media was quick to hop on your nuts and praise you when you had a comeback win or when you played lights out, but they also called your butt out when you played like crap. Boo-freaking-hoo.

As 86 said, stick to worrying about your team.

You make it sound like you wear fossil fuels for fun.

And Don is justified in all he says.
