Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes that Browns GM Tom Heckert told him that former Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens is not -- and will not be -- on Browns' radar. Owens talks a great game, but the fact is he's not the player he once was and he disrupts team chemistry. Owens reportedly wants $5 million this season but that's a lot of money for a 37-year-old. Owens doesn't feel like like his asking price is too high, though admitted he just wants to be paid like a starter during a recent interview on NFL Network's NFL Total Access. "I'm not pricing myself out of the market at all -- again, those are rumors," he said. Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer
I'd actually question Holmgren's sanity more if he thinks Robiskie and Massaquoi > TO. I wouldn't question Mangini's though, he's always been an idiot.
Owens' best chance to catch on with another club at this stage of his career would be as a mid-season injury replacement or as another piece to the puzzle to a playoff contending team.
