Not to pick at old wounds, but Nick Saban apparently feels like apologizing for the way he left the Miami Dolphins. It takes him awhile to get around to it, but the Alabama coach eventually does apologize in a new interview with Sporting News. “Well, honesty and integrity is an important part of our character, my character,â€￾ Saban tells the magazine. “Those are words that we use all the time. I think that in an effort to protect our team at Miami — because I had not talked to Alabama and did not talk to them until the season ended — I express that (character is important) to (Alabama) through my agent and said it was up to them whether they wanted to wait and that I would not make any promises. I would talk to them then, [and] I would only reassess my circumstances and our situation as a family at the end of the year. But I kept getting asked about this over and over and over, and in trying to defuse the interest and leave the focus on our team in Miami (long pause) . . . I had a responsibility and obligation to the players on that team, the coaches on the staff, and I didn’t want that to be the focus of attention. So would I manage it differently? Absolutely. I would still have the same integrity for our team, but I just would not answer any questions relative to Alabama. . . . I do apologize for any professional mishandling that might have occurred.â€￾

meh....not really an apology. He's just answering a question in an interview. Yeah he left bad but who really cares? He wasn't cut out to be the Fins coach anyway. Better college coach.

You can put Saban, Kiffin, and Meyer in the same slimy pillow bag and beat them equally. Only objection I have is, I love the Gators therefore Meyer is forgiven. :icon_cheesygrin:

you are correct. throw in every other college football coach for that matter. college football is approaching the slimyness of politics. it's a dirty business and i have trouble viewing any of the coaches as honest or ripe with integrity/ethics. it's a bad situation.

Saban should apologize for miss handling the Dolphins in general.

again rf52 he didn't come out and offer an apology. It was in an interview. Not sure he requested an interview at this point to make his apology.:icon_rolleyes:
