Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre hasn't made up his mind about a 20th season in the NFL but a rematch between his Vikings and the defending Super Bowl champions New Orleans Saints rests in the back of his mind. ''I want to stay quiet right now,'' Favre said. ''I know they (Vikings) would like to know. Hell, I would like to know, too, When (Vikings coach Brad) Childress came to my home a few months ago, he told me to take time. But he said they will need to know at some point. I am not going to press it." When asked about the season-opener on Sept. 9 in the Superdome against New Orleans he said, ''I would love to go beat the Saints, I know I can still play at a high level. Last year was a great year, but it could have been better (winning NFC Championship).'' Source: Al Jones, The Sun Herald, Source
he would not of had to of done that if there weren't so many fumbles and dumbass brad childress didn't take the FG
They have ryan longwell...Hes the MAN..he won us so many games in gb and has always been clutch and accurate..bad choice by chilly...worse choice by favre
After he had "his" revenge with the Packers, he's now lookig for "his" revenge on the Saints. What will be next?
The guy certainly has his fair share of vendetta's. He's obviously got a lot of regrets from his playing career so what would be the point of him just adding to it? We all know he's coming back. But should he? No.
... Should he, No? And why is that.. because you don't like him? The old man is coming off his best season ever, one mistake from probably going to Super bowl.. But Should he? No. Cuz he's __________ (fill in the blank) Idc how many times someone retires, how old he is, how tiring this is watching the same stuff every year.. If you can play, at a high level, and play like you're still a kid, because you're having fun doing what you do, and you're still good at it, then do it. No reason he shouldn't come back. He's got the skill, the talent, and everything else that goes with what he needs to do to win, he just needs the mindset. And if going through this every year puts him in that mind set, then have at it.. It probably don't bug me as much, because for one, I like and respect the dude... i like watching him play, and i dont sit around watching nfl network/espn, where Brett Favre is a pretty big topic.... instead, I visit your local forum, www.gridironfans.com for all of my NFL news, scoops, rumors, and breaking news! p.s.
