Aaron Wilson of The National Football Post reports that QB Marc Bulger passed his physical, official making him a Baltimore Raven. Bulger agreed to terms last month on a one-year, $3.8 million deal that can be worth as much as $5.3 million if he triggers incentive clauses. Bulger dealt with a broken leg, strained groin, a hamstring and concussion symptoms last season, ending the year on injured reserve with two games left. Bulger was released from the Rams this spring after they picked University of Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford with the first overall pick in the 2010 draft. Bulger will likely hold a clipboard for most of the season as he will be backing up starting QB Joe Flacco, who has never missed a start in his NFL career. Source: National Football Post
I am cool with this move. I remember a time when we had to make a QB change during the season. Thank You Trent Dilfer.
I imagine when he sees actions in garbage time and the pre-season he'll be a different man behind an offensive line rather than a bunch of fat guys and Chris Long.
This move could be deadly. sure Joe is good. but if he can learn how to make precision passes. that could make him a franchise QB.
That plus having a WR that can actually catch in Boldin. Bulger is a very smart QB who can only help in making Flacco that much better.
Not to mention he missed a game a few years back suffering a concussion caused by having a ball being passed to him and hitting him in the head. Bulger will find a way of ending the season on IR, even if he doesn't get any playing time.
