Instead of taking one last July getaway before training camp, Aaron Rodgers was slinging morning passes with reigning Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees and other NFL players in a San Diego-based football summer school this month. Vocation over vacation is an easy choice for the Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl quarterback. Rocket-armed Rodgers is on the cusp of fulfilling immense potential as an elite player in large part because, beneath his cool demeanor, he sweats the small stuff. He works out four to five times per week in San Diego, using the month-long conditioning regimen he will share with Brees and New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson, among others, as a springboard into Green Bay's training camp. Watching Brees hoist the Lombardi Trophy after leading the New Orleans Saints to a Super Bowl XLIV win stoked Rodgers' desire to secure a championship. "It makes me real hungry, knowing Drew as a guy who has shown me what it takes - the hard work, the offseason time he puts in, how much he cares about football," Rodgers tells USA TODAY. "Drew's been a great resource for me to use and learn from in the short time we've spent together. I'm looking forward to working with him again." Source: USA Today
i believe rodgers is one of the more passionate, driven QB's in the league. i'm sure he is hungry ................. and many are picking them to win it this year .................. i'm not sure if they will, but i'm certain that if they DON'T, it won't be rodgers fault because he is clutch.
Yea, Rodgers seems driven to make his own mark in GB to answer all his critics. I'm sure he's like most QBs in wanting a championship but that extra fuel sure can't hurt. Just what us Bear fans want to see...another great QB emerging North of us & in the North. :icon_rolleyes:
true. rodgers emergence is not good news for the bears........ oh well, you still get to beat up on the lions ..............
