so i hear the phils are going to have an alumni homerun derby 8/8, a game i will be going to and mitch williams will be in it along with dutch, milt thompson, ricky jordan and some others.
Ricky Jordan was my man, I loved him. I still remember when we would play the cardinals when they had Brian jordan and whitey just couldn't get it right for either team. classic stuff.
well the 2nd half of the season is here. this team has the potential to do something but man the braves are gonna be tough. they are so deep in both starting and releif pitching and have a pretty good line-up especially when heywood gets back assuming he keeps progressing. all things considered though the phils are not that bad off. just hope that disasterous pirates series doesn't come back to haunt the team.
well now, the phils put up 6 but still lose by six. yeah, it so important to fill the farm sytem with dog crap - i mean prospects by trading lee. heck you amaro, heck you ownership. heck you heck you FREAK YOU !!!!!! :icon_frown:
Walking in the tying run with the pitcher batting. Way to go, Fat Joe. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Howard with a 2 run shot. 3rd HR in the last two games. Nice to see the power stroke back. 3-1 Phils.
Only Howard has come out with spark. Hey, Jayson...you know that long wooden thing in your hands? Swing it when a ball is right down the heart of the plate.
What pisses me off about him is he always takes 1st pitch looking. Regardless if it's across the plate or not. I know a lot of players do but I look for it with him and it drives me insane!!!
It took a bit of luck, but nice comeback win by the boys today against Marmol. Hopefully the offense gives Roy some support tomorrow night to split the series.
it's not going to happen this year. the swagger is gone. trade werth now and get something. package him for a decent pitcher and look to re-load for next season.
funny how some people, like a certain bears fan on another site were screaming how howard is completely overrated.
I was just telling my buddy this exact same thing today... Ahhh...I long for the good old days of Cliff Lee...lol.
yeah i'd love to be wrong but i just don't see it. **********Automerged Doublepost********** well, ummm, yeah. :icon_frown:
