Chad Ochocinco said Wednesday he is willing to yield the position as the Cincinnati Bengals' No. 1 receiver to his new teammate, Terrell Owens. Ochocinco and Owens both have appeared in six Pro Bowls, but Ochocinco said he wants to defer to Owens, whose 144 receiving TDs are third all time. "I've done some great things for this team and this organization," Ochocinco said. "But, of course he's No. 1. He's a Hall-of-Famer…Out of respect of what he's done in his career." Ochocinco is the Bengals' all-time leading receiver, and was delighted when the Bengals agreed to a deal with Owens on Tuesday. Anointing Owens the No. 1 receiver might be generous of Ochocinco, who had a bounce-back season that earned a Pro Bowl appearance last year while Owens suffered through one of the worst years of his career. I think chad just wants to win he doesent care anymore about his own stats. He was fine with the bengals running the ball more last year.
and what were those people talking about ego's butting heads? I think Chad just let his ego be put aside to allow T.O. to be ahead of him
And so begins the bullcrap coming out of Bengals camp that we're all going to be subjected to for the rest of the god damned season.
Bullcrap = Bengals continuing what they did to the AFC North onto this year, I understand your pain, getting your butts beat again and again must be hard, I know the feeling the Bengals had to deal with that in the past. but don't worry you can cheer on the Bengals in the playoffs while the Ravens just watch from the bench
I really hope it turns into a pissing match about who can put aside their ego THE MOST, and be more polite and reformed than the other. That'll turn into it's own competition that hopefully ends with suspensions, fines, and hilarity all around
the funny thing is they are both so old and carson palmer is average at best, him being among the elite in the league is a memory at this stage. this ceremony should be a 1 hour espn special though...jmo
Yeah, pretty much what I thought......but whether the Bengals make TO their No1 WR or not, teams will not be fooled. He just needs to be covered by a No2 CB as he can't get seperation anymore (not that he can't catch the ball anymore just that he'll need back shoulder throws and excellent timing).... Double elsewhere.
