Ed Werder of ESPN spoke to Brett Favre about his impending retirement. Favre told him that he did NOT text any of his teammates and tell them that he was not coming back. He said he intends to come back if his body allows him, but that he has not made a decision as yet and that money is not a catalyst to get him to come back. Source: GIF
I'm really hoping that noone actually believed he was retiring when the news came out yesterday. I will not believe for one second that Favre is done playing football until I see someone else under center in week 1, and even then I wouldn't count out Favre returning at some point.
This is why i didn't watch NFL Network during the whole day yesterday. All day coverage on something as stupid as this.
Yeah, we're all so used to this drama queen changing his mind that now we all take it as Favre looking for more exposure. The best thing that happened was the Packers getting rid of him when they did, Rodgers took over and hasn't looked back.
What's hilarious is Brett refused to say on camera that he is or isn't leaving or that he did or didn't text his teammates...he's a piece of work or insert 4 other letters
:bang head: :bang head: :bang head: :bang head: :bang head: :bang head: :bang head: :bang head: Why did he not come out and say this yesterday?
BUT........ so......is favre lying? did he really did text the team? did his agent send a text? if so, why? just to deny it all the very next day? if i were a vikings fan, i'd be PISSED
One of the local radio sports talk shows just talked about this story less than an hour ago. I was going to post it, but you beat me to it. Good job. Now, let's see ESPN report this story. I bet they won't. Any bets?
