According to a source close to ex-Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress, the New York Post's report of Burress' impending release from prison is "bogus." According to the Post, a person who has visited Burress at the Oneida Correctional Facility in Rome said Burress is expected to be released within "two or three weeks," his two-year sentence reduced for good behavior. It's suspected Burress will get out under a work-release program. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk writes that while that may not hinder Giants General Manager Jerry Reese from investigating re-signing Burress once he's released, it's not clear by any means that Burress will be free anytime soon.
