49ers DT Kentwan Balmer Rumored To Be On The Trading Block

NFL.com's Jason La Canfora is reporting that the 49ers are actively shopping no-show defensive lineman Kentwan Balmer. Believe it or not, La Canfora says there is "some interest" in Balmer. Teams would likely be willing to give up a sixth or seventh round pick for a guy who looks like a great 3-4 defensive end at 6-foot-5 315 pounds. The 49ers are seeking to recoup at least $960,000 from Balmer. The team has said they are following standard NFL procedure in dealing with a player who has left the team.
