No matter how many runs King gives up, the team refuses to score for him. Sanchez has been dominant for the Giants though.
The Phils don't have much of a chance getting help from Dempster and the Cubbies tonight. He's 2-11 against them lifetime.
and he dominated them and marmol comes in and gives up 3 walks and a 2 out triple to lose the game. that lifetime crap means nothing **********Automerged Doublepost********** halladay dominates again and phils win 1-0.
You shouldn't make sweeping generalizations like that. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't.:icon_rolleyes:
Lineups are not in yet, but assuming Ryan starts, it would be only the 8th time this season the opening day lineup starts together. **********Automerged Doublepost********** The Beard & Chooch given the night off: Rollins 6, Polanco 5, Utley 4, Howard 3, Victorino 8, Ibanez 7, Brown 9, Schneider 2, Kendrick 1
Blanton did a great job today. I think Bourn play was incorrectly called... hell even Utley knew it was a bad call. Werth pissed me off sleeping at 2nd.
we lose, braves lose, WTF and St louis and SF both win Houston is the only NL team to have a winning record against the Phillies since 2004, 27-16. I freaking hate them
What a horrible loss last night. I wish Howard could get 5 minutes alone with that 3rd base umpire. I hate umps that put themselves ahead of the game. I've never seen Ryan so irate before. I don't know why we struggle so much against the Astros at the Bank. Happ versus MLB's new ERA leader Halladay tonight.
Howard's never been that mad...he came close a couple years ago when Beckett got pissed at him in Spring Training. Both of those check swing calls were bullcrap. You could totally tell that Barry called that second check swing a strike out of spite and then wanted to make a name for himself by throwing him out of the game. Totally put his "attitude/pride" before the game. Loved seeing Roy2 in the outfield...lol. Write in the All-Star Ballot next year.
