There was a buzz late Sunday afternoon when Dallas Morning News columnist Tim Cowlishaw, a regular panelist on ESPN 's "Around the Horn," wrote on his Twitter account that the Jets and Darrelle Revis will announce an agreement as early as Wednesday but a league source told Newsday Sunday that the speculation was inaccurate. That leads one to believe there has been little progress in the Revis talks. Which makes you wonder if Revis is beginning to overplay his hand. With three years left on his deal and the Jets offering as much as $122 million over 10 years – you read right, $122 million over 10 years – he is demanding $162 million over 10 years, according to NFL sources. With that $40-million chasm showing no sign of closing soon, the Jets appear to be doing the next-best thing: signing their other key young players to deals that are more palatable. Why would you? If I could get that kind of coin, I would! Can't blame the man for shooting for the stars. Blame the Jets if they give it to him. I think Revis is a little delusional if he thinks he's worth that money, but why not ask...
lol...each person's different. When I asked, I got told to go back to work and a door slammed on my butt. I didn't even have time to tell them I was going to hold out...
Revis is getting real greedy. If he doesnt sign soon what happens if the jets go ok thats enought we wont sign you.
No way they pay that much. Well, until the games start counting, at which time they will probably give hm all that and a massage with a happy ending. And the Jets will STILL not win the AFC East.
