Steelers QB Byron Leftwich Tears His MCL

Steelers quarterback Byron Leftwich's management company tweeted that the quarterback tore his MCL. A torn MCL usually means 4-6 weeks of recovery. Thus, ironically, Leftwich will return around the time Ben Roethlisberger returns. Coach Mike Tomlin's decision about who to start in place of suspended quarterback Ben Roethlisberger may have just become much easier.

We have no more need for him then, Ben will be back and Dixon will be behind him. Cut Byron keep Batch.

Guess this settles the Batch/Leftwich debate...lol.

Ugh...I could see that happen BBB, being that the Cards and Steelers are buddy buddies...Leinart and Ben would tear some crap up in Pittsburgh! Let the party begin!!

  7. Now that you mention it.....

Nevermind, Big Ben & Matty on the same team would be the last thing you would want.

The ball is in Leinart's court....he has permission to seek a trade.

I don't think the Steelers will make any move until Batch gets injured...

They'll roll the dice with Dixon and Batch and leave it at that. It's actually making their decisions about keeping 4 or 5 RB's a little easier...

Downside: Teams can now prepare to stop him.

-Build a fence with the left end.
    -Install a late rush.
-Cut off the right side of the field.

I'm excited though to see Dixon get 4 games under his belt.
