Denver Broncos running back LenDale White has a torn Achilles' tendon and will miss the 2010 season, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The Broncos signed White in early August, despite his four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, after losing both Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter to injuries before the pre-season opener. White did not play in the first two games, but started the third game and had 53 yards on 17 carries with a pair of touchdowns before he was injured in the second quarter of last night's pre-season finale. White told the Denver Post last night that he planned to stick around the team. "I'm going to be around; I'm a Bronco," White said. "I'm going to do everything I can until (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell says I can't. I'm pretty sure I can be around." White's impending surgery, rehab, and playing status for 2010 should clarify how often he can be at the team's facility during his suspension. Source: macsfootballblog
