The Denver Broncos are discussing a four-year contract extension for Pro Bowl cornerback Champ Bailey with his agent, Jack Reale. "With respect to the process between our organization and Jack Reale we'd rather keep things private," Broncos general manager Brian Xanders told the Denver Post. "We acknowledge we're in talks." The Broncos have already done contract extensions this year for Kyle Orton, Elvis Dumervil and Chris Kuper. Bailey has been to nine Pro Bowls. He's due a total of $13 million this year. It depends on how much and how long. If they can resign him for 3-4 years at roughly 7 mil a year it isn't all that bad. If I were the Broncos I would give a contact with a termination clause or fill it with escalators. But knowing who is running things in Denver, Revis might be the second highest paid CB in the league.
