I dated a girl 100 years ago that did nothing but sing all the time & she was f'n tone deaf. Part of the reason I dumped her.

Couple years later she had hooked up with a guy who had connections to a recording studio. She showed up 1 day to give me a cassette of her 'recording'. Nothing good but they had altered her voice so much, it at least stopped you from jamming an ice pick in your ears to make it stop.

Bands don't start off making albums right away...they have to play live first in order to get discovered. They have to have some musical talent and able to attract an audience.

Bands that are able to sing as good live as they do on an album are the real talents in my honest opinion.

Otherwise...there called "performers"...not singers.

I think she'll be the first woman to perfom at the SB since Janet.

 

Let's be honest, last couple of halftime shows have been mildly entertaining. The NFL and networks have been scared to put R&B/Pop/Hip-Hop back out there because of the Janet incident. I think it's a good thing, I know most of you don't like BEP, and I don't care for most of their crap after Fergie joined the crew, but they will provide some entertainment that just hasn't been there for a while.

The Who is nice, but they sounded like they hadn't sung in public for decades, I personally would love them to cut the bullcrap and get OutKast out there.....but that's just me.

They could have done worse than the BEP. They could have gotten Lady Gaga.

BTW, here's some trivia that means absolutely nothing.

In the mid to late 1980s, there was a kids show called Kids Incorporated, where a group of talented kids danced, did skits, and sang. One of the kids was a cute girl named Stacey Ferguson. Stacey Ferguson grew up to be the woman we now know as Fergie.

 

BEP was awesome before Fergie came along. Then they became the radio hit machine. And while they're not awesome, it's better than the bands that have rolled out recently that haven't been relevant in years. I thought Bruce's performance was mediocre at best 2 years ago but without Born in the USA or Glory Days, it was depressing. If they want the younger crowd to stay tuned, they need people who have had big hits in THIS decade. Step in the right direction, but eh. Halftime is for poker anyway.

 

Meh. SB halftime shows would be more exciting if the singers/groups actually sang. However, they don't. Many of them lip-synch.
