Yeah no doubt. The 49ers dictated the flow of the game and were in it until the very end. A couple breaks here and there and it was a win at home. 49ers have to feel good of what they saw tonight despite the loss.

proud of bad play calling in the red zone and turnovers galore. Niners played well, but they should have won this handily.

No proud that they came to play instead of giving up like they did last week. Crap we almost beat the Super Bowl Champs...lol

Turnovers didn't help one bit but he made plays. That last drive had a couple good ones that kept the team in it. The signs are there that he can do it....he just needs to be consistent.

  6. No doubt sweets....they have nothing to be ashamed of.

They played a great game against the World Champions on National T.V. and almost send it into overtime.

Hopefully the 49ers will build off of this and come out with a win next week.

Well they need to buck up fast....next week at the Falcons isn't a cakewalk.

I think it exposed smith, his only real success came when they went back to the spread and crabtree was non existent. They are just lucky to play in that horrendous division. 7 wins might take the west.

No joke....the strength was a toss up between the 49ers and Cardinals. Not exactly murderer's row.

Hell the Chiefs took out the Chargers last week. They aren't exactly a cakewalk anymore either.

lets not kid ourselves, the chiefs won because of a couple of big plays that had nothing to do with how terrible that offense is. That same team barely beat a laughable browns team. They might finish with 5 wins.

Hey they won with tough defense and special teams with the offense not turning it over. It's ugly....but they play to their strengths.

Am I the only one who finds it funny that a guy who started his coaching carreer by not believing in moral victories has so GD many of them? Would like to kill that punt returner, but told myself prior to the game I'd be happy if we even stayed competitive, and we did that.

Good point mullet. So now he's good with moral victories?

  17. I don't think I've ever seen a team start 2-0 with such bad quarterback play in Matt Cassel.

Wow only lose to the champs by three with a -4 TO differential... This 49ers team will never make the playoffs (much less anything beyond that) until they:

    1) get at least an average QB
    2) stop making dumbass mistakes
    3) have some consistent play on defense
    4) dont allow the opposing qb's a 30 min lunch break to locate a wide open target
    5) show up for road games

49ers will make the playoffs in or around c. 2017

Mental lapses have killed this team for as long as I can remember. Keep hearing people tout our D, but when it is on the line they always give up the play. I think Manusky isn't getting enough heat for how consistently terrible his clutch play calling is. Stop playing prevent and cover 3/4. It NEVER works!

our D kept us in the game last night.
