Texans OT Duane Brown Suspended Four Games

Discussion in 'Houston Texans' started by BigBlueBruiser, Sep 21, 2010.

  1. The National Football League suspended Texans left tackle Duane Brown for four games Tuesday for violating the league's drug policy, a punishment that now has sidelined two of the team's starters. Brown admitted he "unknowingly" took a substance considered a performance-enhancing drug. He joins outside linebacker Brian Cushing on the suspended list. Brown's absence could not have come at a more difficult time for the Texans, who are 2-0. His primary responsibility in this Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys would have been outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, one of the NFL's premier pass rushers, but that assignment now goes to Rashad Butler, a five-year veteran who will make his first career start.

Doesn't matter.. The Bears have one of the worst OL in the game. And we didn't do crap when it counted...

I hate to admit it.. But yeah, I know I am right. Our coaching staff is just too soft and predictable. It will take an act of God to get the Cowboys in the playoffs. And with the hole in the roof gone, God doesn't like us any more. FML

Are those 2 Williams boys form the Vikings ever going to have to face their suspension?

Maybe so..but so is the Texans front 7 on that weak butt oline Dallas has. Should be a good one, no one is expecting Dallas to lay down and die.:icon_twisted:

Going into the bye week, the Boys better win. Two weeks is a long time to sit and brood about things.

huh? the cowboys o-line hasn't been their problem, especially in pass protection ........ i don't think the texans are expecting to be chasing romo around the backfield all day. they will focus on shutting down the run and containing their passing game to minimal gains and give their offense a chance to win the game.

The way the Cowboys running game has been lately. I don't think the Texans will have a problem with doing that.

true, it is anemic right now. i'm not completely sold on the texans pass defense though so romo should have receivers open. he may have a huge day.

He had a huge day last week, but very few points to show for it.

McNAbb had a huge day too but they still lost. If you can't run the ball on the Texans to waste time, your going into a shoot out and that's not what you want with a passing offence that has been tops in the league for over a year. Now with our running game finally stepping up it's even harder.

I sure hope we win but Im not over confident.
