A league source said that the Redskins have been shopping seldom-used wide receiver Devin Thomas. A second-round pick from Michigan State in 2008, Thomas has been relegated primarily to special teams duty through the team's first four games. He can't catch a break to get on the field on offense, and the Redskins have been looking around at what is out there, bringing in free agents Keenan Burton and Demetrius Williams for workouts just last week. It's not known what kind of price tag the Redskins have placed on Thomas, but Washington is the team placing calls when it comes to him, the source said. Like the injured Malcolm Kelly, another second-round pick from the '08 draft, Thomas has been a major disappointment. Source: National Football Post
I don't get it... what did he do to get in the dog house. They haven't even given him a shot with McNabb.
Could have had Matt Forte, DeSean Jackson, or Ray Rice in that draft round instead....tisk tisk....:icon_rolleyes:
and that's why sorry butt Cerrato is no longer part of this organization :icon_cheesygrin:. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Sometimes I honestly believe Shanahan's pride gets in the way. He dominated the Broncos and Saints last season, Bronco's while they were still hot. The kid is good, don't see the logic in Shanahan keeping a bum butt injured played in Malcolm Kelly, but won't give Thomas a chance.
That WR draft class is looking worse and worse. Hardy, Kelly, Thomas, Sweed, Doucet, 4 of the top 5 ranked wr prospects could be labelled as busts at this point.
I agree with you on this one. And McNabb has the ability to elevate his receivers games if they have a little talent to begin with which Devin has more than enough of.
