Randy Moss, Patriots QB Coach Bill O'Brien Had Heated Exchange Monday

Discussion in 'New England Patriots' started by BigBlueBruiser, Oct 6, 2010.

  1. Wide Receiver Randy Moss and New England Patriots quarterbacks coach Bill O'Brien were involved in a heated exchange at halftime of the team's victory Monday over the Miami Dolphins, according to player sources. The locker-room exchange, described as an "outburst" by one player, came two days before the Patriots traded Moss to the Minnesota Vikings for a 2011 third-round draft choice, and could have contributed to the team's decision to make the deal. The Patriots trailed 7-6 at halftime of the game, and Moss had just one pass thrown in his direction up to that point. He finished without a reception and wasn't thrown to in the second half. Player sources said the halftime exchange was not the first time they had felt friction between Moss and O'Brien, who calls the offensive plays.

Cancer was removed before it infected more tissue. Go dog it in Minnesota Randy, maybe the coaches will be more understanding.

Not buying that this is the reason Moss was traded. I think Belichick has had something in the works since Moss brought his contract up Week One. These things just don't happen over night...it takes time. I'm guessing the argument/outburst was more coincidental to this situation than the actual reason why he was traded.

I agree, that wasn't the time to bring up contract issues or negotiations. Might of got Minnesota a better deal though. lol
