Even though the San Francisco 49ers are one of the NFL's three winless teams and mired in last place in the NFC West, president Jed York predicted his team is going to bounce back in a historical fashion. "We're going to win the division," York predicted Monday morning in a text to ESPN. The 49ers fell to 0-5 after losing 27-24 at home to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. If the 49ers do win the division, they will make history. Under the NFL's current playoff format adopted in 1990, no team ever has opened the season 0-5 and reached the playoffs, no less win its division. If the 49ers are going to reverse the trend, they need to start doing it Sunday against Oakland, which is 2-3 after ending a 13-game losing streak against the San Diego Chargers, but consider that the 49ers have played only one divisional game, at Seattle in the opener, and still has five more games left against the NFC West teams it is trying to bypbutt. There only shot is to win all of their upcoming division games....they can't afford to lose any of those games or any game for that matter. I still say there done but I can't blame him for still having optimism.
I think he would be allowed back into the league after all this time....most of the owners that had issues with him are no longer in the NFL. It's been 13 years since that scandal in Louisiana.....it would be like the birth of christ in San Francisco if DeBartolo re-purhased the club.
Hes on extasy which is where all the bullcrap comes from. "I JUST LOVVVE ALL OF YOU!!! I KNOW YOUR TRYING YOUR BEST!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! IT DOESNT MATTER IF WE EVEN WIN AS LONG AS WE HAVE LOVE!!! OHHH MAN, ALEX, YOUR HAIR IS SOOOOO SOFT!!! LET ME RUB YOU!!! MMM THATS NICE!!! OKAY GUYS LOVE ON THREE ONE TWO THREE LOVE!!!"
If the 49ers are still going to win the NFC West, then NOW would be a great time to start winning. I would have been convinced two weeks ago that the 49ers could could still win the NFC West this year but at 0-5, they're dead, wild card hopes as well.
What is there not to like about the York's? I think their ownership of the 49ers has been fantastic so far :icon_cheesygrin:
