likely to be a pitchers series in the Giants/Phillies series. Would have been nice to see them go one more game and giants win, they would not have had lincecum for the first game, they would have had to fly back to SF and then fly out to Philly. Should a low scoring series overall.

 

The Giants have the pitching to match the Phillies. Phils have to get the bats going.

 

the bats weren't hot because the reds pitching staff was pretty damn good. great pitching more than not will beat out a great line-up. this year the phils can counter with a nasty rotation of their own.
