The question posed to Tony Romo was whether this Monday Night will sort of be the Dallas Cowboys' last stand against the New York Giants. "Say it again: 'Is it Custer's last stand?' you said," Romo asked. At 1-4, the underachieving Cowboys might as well be making their final stand. This is supposed to be a season in which they make a run to the Super Bowl, which will be played in their own stadium, but instead, the Cowboys have sputtered badly, at times unable to get out of their own way with silly penalties and lack of execution. Now, the Giants have a rare opportunity to bury the Cowboys in a 1-5 hole if they can beat their hated NFC East rival in Dallas, they will have a major say in whether Dallas can rebound this season with two games against the Cowboys in the next four weeks. "I don't know if you ever think of one game as a [last stand]," Romo said in a conference call with New York reporters on Wednesday. "It is not a playoff game where you win or lose, your season is over or you keep going. It is obviously important and we do need to win and it is getting to that point where the season hinges as you continue to go forward. I don't know when that is, that sort of game." A Cowboys' loss to the Giants would be devastating, they have already lost a division game and another defeat would leave the Cowboys at 1-5, 0-2 in the division and at the bottom of the NFC East. Wrong answer, Romo. You should be playing it like it's a must win, a playoff game if you will. Dallas can still bounce back, but not if they lose this week.
so Romo doesn't think it has gotten to the point where the boys MUST start winning? are they going to wait until december when they are 3-9 and they're already eliminated from the playoffs? where's the sense of urgency with this team?
how can any starting qb ever say .... oh well its just a regular season game.... its not the playoffs.... who cares... its not lose and go homes theres still another game..... weak .... butt.... crap...
one that has bothered me for some time and i rmember making a thread about is that....on this team you really dont see a player or player the side line pissed off and yelling at the players.....i was watching some NFLN awhile back and i seen Manning even Matty ice but i seen Aikamn pissed off yelling at his line Manning argueing with saturday i hate to say it but we are missing drive and passion and heart
Troy would've totally chewed Doug Free's butt for missing the assignment against Jared Allen. All Tony did was look at him while he on his butt. Romo is a talented quarterback....I'll give him credit for that. But I honestly believe he doesn't have that "it" factor.....a championship caliber quarterback.
That's not Kool-Aid they've been drinking.. :crackhead: I will watch no matter what, but if the Cowboys don't win Monday night then the season is over. It is an uphill battle as it is.. Throw in another loss and kiss this year bye bye.. :icon_sad:
yeah me too ill always watcha nd root no matter what.............but i just want to see some intensity.....
