Fox NFL analyst Brian Billick thinks Steelers LB James Harrison acted like a 'baby' when he said he would consider retirement if he couldn't play football the way he always has. Billick, who won Super Bowl XXXV while coaching the Ravens, appeared on Fox Sports Radio's Stephen A. Smith Show on Thursday and said Harrison must adapt instead of complaining about the NFL's increased level of enforcement. "Absolutely, just shut up and play. It's like, we're going to work the whole week around your rules because you think you have to play that way? That's irritating, this is just a temper tantrum. ... But the rule is in for the safety of all the players, the hitter as well as the hittee, and it's just like the sack on the quarterback -- we've adapted. Source: USA Today
i think we all agree billick is right. harrison is being a dq. hopefully this will all pass over and we will just get back to playing the game.
I would be pissed off too if I was fined for hit that was perfectly legal. He couldn't help that mohamed ducked down. Whats he suppose to do, let him catch the ball? Billick is the worst NFL Analyst on Fox!
He "left" his feet after contact. Players leave their feet after contact every week. Not what he was fined for. He was fined for hitting in the head with his arms. His hit was less illegal than this hit and this hit wasn't fined. YouTube - Bradford takes a helmet shot That hit by Burnett is text book illegal. Left his feet, launched himself, hit helmet to helmet and then came down with his arm on Bradford's helmet. Bradford gets up and walks away. No fine. Passer or ball carrier, that hit is illegal. Having said that, anyone who has followed James Harrison, knows the retirement talk was bullcrap. He should however, appeal the fine and so should Robinson.
Whether or not either hit was illegal, the things Harrison has said since have been monumentally stupid.
