Shaping up as Atlanta or Giants in the NFC, with the Giants as the favorite, but Dam, the AFC is a snakepit. I favor the Steelers and Jets as the leaders, but not even close to a runaway. Tennessee, Pats, Colts, Ravens legit with Houston/KC looking respectable, and I wouldn't count out the Chargers. Anything could happen the rest of the way in the AFC with injuries being key, and who is peaking come Playoffs. Fun year for an AFC fan like me.

  2. Still too early.....but possibly facing Atlanta in the NFC Championship would be a thriller. There about as equal to New York as anyone in that conference. The Saints aren't dead by a longshot yet. I would like for us to get another crack at 'em.

AFC.....wow. A lot of good possible match ups in that conference.

Agree on the Saints being the 3rd team in the NFC, but they sure haven't been that impressive yet.

  4. No...they have not. They haven't been as impressive offensively as last year. But they are the defending champs and are still only a game out from first place behind Atlanta. They are 4-3 and there is 9 games left.

I think they'll get it turned around and make the division race interesting.

Atlanta is notorious for being a bad road team. I think as of right now the Giants are the best team in the NFc. I expect the turnover problem to correct itself.

  6. Why I hope were hosting the Title Game.....:icon_cheesygrin:

Like I said earlier.....turnovers are probably our only achilles heal right now. We have the bye week to help correct that and prepare for the 'Hawks.

Another win there and against Dallas at home...then we can start thinking about getting that No. 1 spot in the NFC.....after we clinch a playoff spot, then the East. We haven't lost a conference game yet and that will be huge in tie breaker scenarios.

I think the Giants are far and away the best team in the NFC. If the Saints get back on track (which I unfortuantely think could happen this week,) they'll be right there with the G-Men. I could see the Eagles rattle off 5 or 6 wins in a row and create a wave...

In the AFC, I'm not sold on the Titans yet and I still don't trust that the Jets are going to hold up...maybe they can. I still like the Ravens, Steelers and Pats in the AFC...never liked the Chargers.

  8. To come back from last years mess to where we are now....it's remarkable and exciting. Around this time last year....we were again considered the best team in the NFC and in the NFL. Then the wheels came off.....but that isn't happening this time.

Perry Fewell is more like Spags than Sheridan can ever possibly dream about.

NFC will end up coming down to Atlanta, New York, Philly, New Orleans, with maybe Tampa or Seattle sneaking off a huge win or two to make a playoff run.

4 of Atlanta's first 6 were on the road, we lost both, but we were 4-2 at that point and 5-2 now. This four game stretch after the bye is going to test how good we really are, at least the schedule makers gave us those games at home (Ravens, Packers and Bucs, who, although not great are certainly no pushovers). Make it past that then you only have @Seattle and home against New Orleans to really worry about.

Giants defense will probably earn them the HFA in the conference, and unless a major breakdown happens, that pretty much gives them a direct track to the NFCCG if not Super Bowl.

AFC is a moshpit, and I love it. Every team in the AFC South is in it (Jacksonville mathematically....but realistically....no), AFC West is still pretty open with the Chiefs in front, and between NE/NYJ/BAL/PIT we're going to see a power struggle
