We're looking for a few good members who can provide insightful, entertaining commentary about the NFL to all the visitors of GridironFans.com. We give our writers the freedom to choose the topics they enjoy as it relates to the NFL. Members who currently have their own NFL blogs hosted elsewhere can have their blog entries auto-submitted to the site via RSS. We are looking for the passionate NFL fan who doesn't have a blog of his own but would love the opportunity to have his/her voice heard.

Blogging on GridironFans.com would be about letting your creative juices flow and having fun. Express your thoughts and opinions to everyone, let your voice be heard. We are not looking for quantity, we are looking for quality. We would have a two entry per week minimum that we would require. You can be team specific, division specific, discuss all the teams in the NFL, write about an aspect outside of the NFL that is related (example: media coverage/critique) and more. The only thing holding you back is your creativity.

So if you feel this is for you, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Do power rankings count for an entry? Like CaptainStubing's statistical power rankings with the little snippets for each team. (not sure if he has the time for blog entries but it could be useful for someone else who does)

Draft rankings or something like that could be another thing for those draftniks.

Sure, power rankings would count. Draft rankings would be great too. Never too early to get the inside scoop on the next crop coming from college.

  5. I could probably handle the draft rankings.

    Two questions..

    1. Does it limit who can do this? IE, if you're a mod elsewhere?

    2. Is there any chance for a NCAA Blog to come next?

    1. no limit, a mod somewhere else can write blogs here but they have to join GIF and add 2 blogs a week.

    2. When I find out the answer I'll let you know.

If you are truly interested and can give two blogs per week then let me know. I will grant you access.
No, there is no limitations on who would be eligible to join. While a NCAA blog would be great right now the focus will be to build a NFL blog. Would your idea of blog entries be tied in with the NFL draft? That would be fine. Once the NCAA forum grows I would be more than happy to start a NCAA-specific blog.

I want to have a twice a week minimum so that we have active members in there. The problem the Gridiron Gazette (our former blog) didn't work was too many members simply stopped posting. This feature needs active participation for it to thrive and grow.
I have granted you access and will be contacting you with more info.

  16. I'm very interested. However, I'm not sure if there is enough to put to update it twice a week. Once it's the offseason and the shrine bowl, senior bowl, workouts happen then that would be easy.

But yeah I think I could handle it if it was only twice a week. I'm just concerned about what I would put. I would definitely be open to ALL ideas.

I could do draft rankings that I update and all related news, scouting reports, answer all questions.

Id be willing to do one provided that I dont have to talk about football exclusively...or sports for that matter. I mean, Ill focus on sports but of that takes me elsewhere in the process so be it. And I cant roll til next friday Im not tryimg to type whole blogs n my phone.

We are a NFL site first and foremost so the entries need to be NFL related.
