1983 - John Elway, Jim Kelly, Ken O'Brien, Dan Marino or 2004 - Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Schaub
yeah but SB's dont equal greatness IMO Too me its 1983.....maybe when the younger dudes careers are over they might surpass them
I had to go '83, the '04 still has alot of years left though and I'd expect a few more rings between those guys.
I think through 6 seasons, 1983 edges out 2004. I don't think it's as easy as some say over the first 6 seasons. However, over the remaining careers of Manning, Ben, Rivers and Schaub, I think they could surpass the 1983 clbutt. Here's some numbers broken down on the first 6 seasons: It should be noted that I took O'Brien's numbers from 1984-1989 since he didn't take a snap in '83...I forgot to make a note of that. So the numbers would actually be a little closer if you subtracted O'Brien's 1989 numbers out of the picture...
eh, if you eliminate schaub and o'brien, because they're both kind of meaningless, i think the remaining qb's are very comparable. i could see manning, rivers, and ben all 3 being hof'ers by the end of their careers.
The way Schaub's career is going, he should wind up being better than O'Brien and more meaningful. No one will touch Marino, but Roethlisberger, Rivers, Manning, Elway, Kelly could all be in the same ball park.
1983. Elway, Marino & Kelly are amongst the greatest QB's of all time. Roethlisberger is the only won who could even be considered HOF out of that bunch, and even his credentials are mostly from the D carrying his butt to the rings rather than him being a great QB so far...
