My only gripe is that I feel Barry Sanders should be in the Top 10. That's just my opinion though, I think if you put him in at 10, slide Manning out and move everyone else affected by that up, you're good.

Love the players on this list. I would rank them the following:

    1. Jerry Rice
    2. Walter Payton
    3. Joe Montana
    4. Barry Sanders
    5. Reggie White
    6. Lawrence Taylor
    7. Ray Lewis
    8. Joe Greene
    9. Johnny Unitas
    10. Peyton Manning/Otto Graham

Definitely gave consideration to Munoz in that Top-10...

Glad to see Im not the only guy that has White over Taylor.

Not a knock on Taylor, but White had the ability to dominate the game from any position on the defensive line, and in any front. Most complete defensive player in the history of the game IMO

    The Red GO BLUE!!!

Work ethic, stats, championships, great attitude on the field and a great attitude off the field says it all. Rice is the greatest. Everyone in professional football should try to emulate what was Rice was not only as a football player, but as a man!!

A top 100 list that doesn't contain Chris Carter is a total joke to me. Especially when it has Michael Irvin, don't get me wrong, he was a great player too.
    Here are there stat lines:
1,101 receptions 13,899 yards, 130 TDs for Carter
750 receptions 11,904 yards, 65 TDs for Irvin

Carter is also the only player to have two 120 reception season.
Longest streak of games with at least 3 receptions, 58

Superbowls go a lot further than they should for measuring a player's greatness.

I'll agree with you there marty. Carter should be on the list way, way, way before Irvin. A lot of receivers should be...

    How about this comparison:
750 receptions 11,904 yards, 65 TDs for Irvin.
922 receptions 11,312 yards, 81 TDs - Hines Ward. Ward shouldn't be on the Top 100. Neither should Irvin.

Derrick Thomas...No player in the NFL had more sacks in the 1990s than Derrick Thomas who toattled 116.5 sacks during the 10-season span. C'MON MAN

Lol at Manning and Elway over Montana. Manning you could maybe make an argument for but saying Elway is better is straight up goobered.

Never been an Elway fan as far as one of the best QBs ever.

  19. Walnuts

Me neither. Rivalry aside, I always felt he was a better than average qb with a knack for pulling games out of his butt. Not great, and certainly not among the greatest ever. He wouldnt even have his rings if it wasnt for TD.

CaptainStubing Gave her a Dirty Sanchez

each to his own but the guy was winning afc championships long before T.D. without much around him. guy could single-handedly win games with his arm and legs and for most of his years, that's the only reason they won. he had no running game for most of his career. and like all great QB's, it didn't matter that he had crappy receivers. he made them look good.
