It didn't take long for teams to start calling after Jeff Reed cleared waivers Wednesday afternoon. But the former Steelers kicker isn't going anywhere — for now. "We talked to three teams and we had offers from two of them," said Donal Henderson, Reed's agent. "We decided to wait to see what happens this week." Henderson declined to say which teams inquired about Reed, but one likely suitor was the Bengals, who placed kicker Mike Nugent on injured reserve this week. As an unrestricted free agent, Reed is free to negotiate with any team. The Steelers have to pay him $1.16 million, the remaining balance on the one-year, $2.81 million contract he signed last April.
