To help encourage more in-depth blog writings, would GIF consider subscribing to a site like PFF for NFL stats that can't be found on free sites? I believe PFF is only about $90 a year and could give us just as much important information as the more popular ones like STATS, which is much more expensive.

So GridironFans.com would sign up for this service, and what do we get? I tried to check the site out but it seems it's not some sort of material they want out unless you pay for it first.

the statistical information available on most free sites is limited. having a more in-depth resource to dig deeper into stats of individual players might encourage more/better blog postings.

what these premium sites provide is all of the 'cool' stats that CBS, FOX, and the others get their hands on and provide during their games and pre and post game. for example steve, there is no free site out there that can tell you how often a linebacker is being dropped into pass coverage or how many pressures or hits a particular O-lineman is allowing, etc. only the premium sites are gathering that type of information.

I'm not sure if access to a premium site like that will help the blog writers but I know I would use it to reinforce my arguments and get more in-depth on my analysis.

i'm not sure how much football outsiders costs but i believe it's more money than PFF's $90/year. i was just thinking of the most cost effective way to do this.

So let me get this straight.....we open an account for GridironFans.com that ALL blog users would have access to, right? Is this against their TOS? What is going to happen when multiple accounts are logged on at the same time? Also, to be perfectly honest, I am wondering how many bloggers would use this. We still have some bloggers who seem to just be ignoring the blog and/or this support forum: http://gridironfans.com/forums/nfl-...153-nfl-bloggers-roll-call-2.html#post1250444

We have one blogger who isn't even doing anything NFL related (adammwilson) and we have had 10 entries from 11 writers in 10 days. I am going to have to branch out and see if I can find bloggers who can salvage the blog section as it is. I guess what I am saying is I need to really hear how this helps GridironFans.com out. Ninety dollars isn't much but I'd be broke if I spent money on all the features, programs, add-ons that have been suggested to me for the site.
