Jeff Fisher's Future With Titans Looking Iffy?

Yahoo Sports’ Michael Silver says that there’s a legitimate chance that the slumping Tennessee Titans could be in the market for a new head coach after the season. Jeff Fisher is entangled in an ugly rift with quarterback Vince Young and working for an owner who might side with the quarterback before he sides with the coach. Adams has already said that Young and Fisher must learn to coexist. Young is due a $4.25 million roster bonus in March. But what makes the situation interesting is that Fisher, whom many believe is not willing to bring Young back, has a clause in his contract that, according to Silver, “(grants) him the right to control which players are carried on the 53-man roster.â€￾ Thus, a power struggle could be on the horizon.

Jeff Fisher in Dallas? Dream on!!! Although I don't think he will be unemployed for very long.

I just heard that Josh McDaniels is in the market for a new job, maybe Adams should look at him........NOT!!!!!

I am predicting that Brian Scottenheimer will get a look and so will Russ Grimm of the Arizona Cardinals. Just a couple of thoughts. I am not really sold on Marty Morheinweig, although he is doing a good job in Philly.

Grimm might be a good fit. Tough nose power running game guy is what the Titans need.

Why does Fisher always get such good pub?
6 winning seasons in 17 does not a great Head Coach make IMO.

    Amen. I pass on him.

  7. because in those 17 seasons only 5 have been losing seasons. When he got there the team was awful and he has been there through when they had to completely rebuild after '03.

No. JJ will probably stick with Jason. It's cheaper for Jerry in the long run.

  9. what in the hell makes you think Jerry cares about money? He cares about winning.

Another reason he should stick with Jason.

Jason is growing on me. At least, this team is showing more heart than when Captain Kangaroo was here as HC.

That's all well and good but he's failed to get us over the hump more times than not. Since when does a career in just not good enough fly in the NFL? I have been there rooting for Jeff Fisher from day one with the Oilers. Yes he had an amazing mess when he came on board and it just got worse with the mess that was their move to Tennessee. The team never got over the hump though under him. He got us to the dance, but damn at some point you gotta bag the skirt.

  13. yeah and i understand the frustration and I share it but I don't think now is the time to change coaches. I think he deserves more time.

No coach currently in the NFL has had as much time as Jeff Fisher has. How much more time does he need???

  15. until our great GM finally gets us a franchise QB. Until our offense isn't completely one dimensional and until we stop getting rid of almost every great leader on the team.
