The Redskins have announced they’ve suspended troubled DT Albert Haynesworth for the final four games of the season. Coach Mike Shanahan’s statement: “Despite the club’s numerous attempts to persuade Albert Haynesworth to abide by the terms of his contract, he has repeatedly refused to cooperate with our coaching staff in a variety of ways over an extended period of time. Among other things, he has consistently indicated to our defensive coaches that he refuses to play in our base defense or on first-down or second-down nickel situations. He has also refused to follow the instructions of our coaches both during weekly practices and during actual games as well. “Yesterday, when Albert was at Redskin Park, he told our General Manager Bruce Allen that he [Haynesworth] would no longer speak with me. Although suspending any player is not a decision that a head coach enters into lightly, I believe the situation has reached the point where the club clearly has no alternative.â€￾

So when do the coachs start getting paid more than the players? This right here should make a perfect example as 2 why they should get paid more.

Of course they will. The next team will probably get a damn good player at a budget rate since he will want to make Washington look bad. Send him over.

    Wat?

YAY now we give up 200+ yards rushing each game and set us back at least two years on D. Good job Shanahan, love your pride issues.

When a player tells the coach where he will play, and where he won't, it's time to dump him. This signing was a total disaster from day 1. As far as another team signing this piece of crap, good luck with that.

Once again... high profile free agent doesn't do one thing in Washington except fatten their cfreaking account.

And the McNabb deal is looking like dogcrap right now, too.

Snyder and co. just don't freaking get it.

Can't really blame Shanahan, I mean he inherited Haynesworth and in the end the check they gave him, they are getting back by suspending him these last 4 games. I still think it's a huge mistake letting him go.

Also with McNabb, I don't see it being that bad, he's doing better than Peyton this last half of the season and he certainly doesn't have the line nor receivers Peyton has. Plus keeping him allows the Redskins to work on the line, get a back and more receivers.
