The Chicago Bears host the New England Patriots at Soldier Field on Sunday 12/12/10. Kickoff time is 4:15 pm EST Discuss….
both teams are playing at a high level. game in the windy city. ill pick the team with the better coach. bears 17 pats 24
From what i'm hearing weather report wise, Chicago is supposed to get blasted with snow and it's supposed to be pretty windy at game time, i've heard between 40-50 mph winds. Would anyone be suprised if the final score of this game is 2-0 if thats the case?
Both teams are use to playing in that kind of crap, so not a real advantage for either team, except it could put a hurt on air Brady. However, I've seen Brady effectively throwing the ball in that kind of weather before, which is amazing. Field position, effective running game, and turnovers usually become huge in these kind of games. Pats do have a running game, that is very under rated, so they should be fine. Both Taylor and Green can pound the ball, which you need in these games. Should be fun to watch.
With 40-50 mph winds? (atleast so the weather report says) This is definitely a game where you need to run the ball and thats something Mike Martz has actually gotten through his head since the game at Buffalo. If the Bears O-Line can open up holes for Matt Forte and Chester Taylor, the Bears will be fine.
26 with 30 mph winds making it seem -2 around game time. Throw in what the Chicago Park District thinks is one of the NFL's Field of Dreams & it's going to be 1 ugly game...one the Bears could win. Won't mean much as a gauge against a team like the Pats but I'd still like the win...
With the weather, it keeps it from being a high scoring game, and I don't see this game as anything but a toss up. Probably the team with the least turnovers wins.
With the penchant for being the best, or near the top, at getting TOs the last few years, I'd say the Bear D will get at least 3 in these conditions. It's just their mindset to go after them which gives them an edge today IMO.
