Minnesota Vikings players said Monday that quarterback Brett Favre's collarbone is severely swollen and he hasn't thrown a pass all week, casting more doubt on his ability to play Monday night against the New York Giants. Favre told teammates and associates Sunday that he didn't believe he could play and that his NFL-record starts streak will end at 297 games, sources with knowledge of the situation said. Vikings players have not received any official word on Favre's status. With anyone else they'd assume that there is no chance he could play, but this is Favre and until warm-ups/inactives are announced, the door will remain open for the 41-year-old QB to play. So he sent a picture of his "swollen collarbone" to Sterger. Nice. I never knew a bone can get swollen.
Favre, T-Jack, who cares? We have to handle our business no matter who is under center for Minnesota. Our D-Line won't make it a picnic for either man.
I'll be there, so obviously I want history to be made ..in the form of Favre forcing himself on the field and taking THE WORST HIT ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN. I'm talking some LT type crap is what I want to happen. But I'm not counting on him playing.
