I'm going to miss our talks on baseball. The man was a walking encyclopedia of old time baseball. I had the opporunity to talk with him many times, and enjoyed it immensely. Legends of baseball that you only knew from history, he played against and with. I was like a kid sitting on his grandfathers knee listening to all the great stories. He definitely wasn't politically correct, and on some subjects he could get very animated about. His career would have been totally awesome, if it hadn't been for WW11, and him enlisting in the Navy 2 days after Pearl Harbor. Gone almost 4 years in his prime from the sport he loved dearly. RIP Bob.
