NFL Lockout, What Does It Really Mean To The Fans?

How many of you have really sat down and contemplated your life without NFL football and fantasy football? You know, how will you cope with watching TV on Sundays and see no football whatsoever? I guess what I really want to know is what does the lockout really mean to you? Will you be devastated to wake every Sunday and remember that the NFL is not available to you, will it bother you that the NFL isn't bringing you any games but the NFL is still making millions, perhaps billions of dollars even though the fans are without their favorite past time? Take a look at the video for a sneak peak into what a fan will go through without it.

*The message at the end of the video (to sign the petition) is also a way that fans can have a voice in this labor battle. Make sure to make your voice is heard!!!!

For some people who lead dreary lives, I imagine the NFL provides a means of escape for a little while. If they don't have that, I don't know what they'll do to replace it.

    Petition signed.

Well Rags, I guess I'm in the dreary life category. I am a football fanatic, I mean I so look forward to the games on Sunday, Monday and Thursday and without ANY football I am already thinking about having withdrawals.

NFL Football is to me everything that I love, sports, cool uniforms, big guys playing a symphony without music and a way to bond with the men in my life, no other sport does it for me.

Hey NFL, NFL OWNERS..pay attention, we fans are why you guys have jobs and enough money to keep YOUR families knee deep in luxury...Stop the Lockout already....

I would turn into a bitter person. I would hate to not have any real football.

The NFL is my favorite form of entertainment. I would cope because that's my nature, but I would never stop wanting it. I would miss the hell out of it. I don't go a day without cfreaking some sort of NFL news.

If there were no NFL, that would mean I would spend more time on my PC that I already do.

I guess we'd have to go through all our old games on TIVO and video tapes just to have some NFL in our lives...freaking NFL/Owners

Wonder if NFL Films or some other company will show some old NFL footage on Sundays should the lockout extend into the season?

Life w/o football - bummer. I guess I would watch more NCAA, even if it ins't the same. Let's all hope the lockout won't happen

The NCAA has already stated that they'll move some Saturday games to Sunday, but it just won't be the same.

A lockout has far-reaching implications. If there is no NFL in 2011, that means that spouses and significant others will have to talk to one another. We can't have that, can we?

Well SRW and I already do that, football is what brought us together.

I think I'm fairly safe in saying that you and SRW are in the minority.

With the economy in the shape that it is and the lack of sellouts already being seen every week the owners would do best by not letting this happen. This WILL set the league back a decade if these whiny butt snitches throw a temper tantrum and lock the doors so no one can play.

I imagine football widows the world over are on their knees praying for a lockout.

Keep this date in mind. The current CBA expires on March 3. The owners will lock out the players on March 4, if a new CBA is not put in place by then.
