The Minnesota Vikings said quarterback Brett Favre will start Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears, at snowy TCF Bank Stadium on what's expected to be a slippery, rock-hard surface. Favre came out at approximately 6:15 ET to throw passes and test his sprained right shoulder. Standing next to Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Favre first started throwing 10-yard passes and then he backed up and threw one pass about 30 yards before huddling with trainers and coaches and walked off the field. He missed last week's game against the Giants, ending his NFL record streak of consecutive starts at 297. The team upgraded Favre's status from "out" to "questionable" and informed the NFL and the Bears on Monday morning that Favre was feeling better and would try to play. Source: ESPN Chicago
I give props to the old bastard. He could've played it off due to injury and not started this mess of a game, but he nutted up and is playing.
Personally, I think Favre wants one more crack at the Bears. Thats the only reason why I think he's starting tonight. Bring it on old man!
You think that your team should just give up if you dont have a chance to get into the playoffs? If this was the case, then why should the rams have played a game since 2004?
Because Favre is done, he isn't the future. They should have let Joe Webb have a chance, he what he can do. And I'm not going to reply to the rest of that idiotic post.
