Giants Can Clinch Playoff Berth With Win Over Redskins, Packers Loss

  1. So the Giants squandered a chance to clinch a playoff spot. Now they need help in order to make the postseason. After the Saints beat the Falcons on Monday night, the Giants' path to the postseason is pretty simple: they must find a way to win their 10th game of the season and beat the Redskins on Sunday at Landover. And then they need Green Bay to lose to Chicago or finish with a tie at Lambeau next week. The Giants can also clinch in the unlikely scenario that the Giants tie the Redskins, Green Bay loses and Tampa Bay loses or finishes with a tie.

With the Falcons loss, the Bears actually have something to play for next week giving the Giants a decent chance at this, correct?

As poorly as the G-MEN are playing do anyone want to see them make the playoffs and get another butt whipping like last Sunday against Green Bay.

What I heard on the radio this morning is the Bears do still have a SLIM chance at getting the #1 seed in the NFC, heres what would have to happen. Bears win in Green Bay, Falcons lose to the Panthers, AND Eagles lose one of their final two games. Not holding my breath on all that happening.

Assuming Rex Grossman is starting this week, all the Giants have to do is blitz the the crap out of him and he will crack under pressure. I do see the Giants beating the Redskins this week. I would love to be the team that knocks the Packers out of the playoffs.

  9. Lovie Smith isn't treating this game like a preseason game regardless from what I heard. And your right, the Bears need to beat Green Bay, Falcons need to lose at Carolina, the Eagles need to lose either tonight against Minnesota or against Dallas this Sunday, but you also need the Saints to lose against the Buccaneers for the Bears to get the No. 1 seed.
