Why not just realign the divisions?

  2. You think anyone outside of Seattle wants to see a possibility of a team with a losing record reach the Super Bowl?

  3. I don't see that happening since they did it 8 years ago. Only if an expansion team enters the league where you'll see a realignment.

As far as reseeding because of a 7-9 team making the playoffs, what about the NFC South teams who have piled up victories against the NFC West this year? Not fair to punish one division for being crapty and not the other divisions who play them. Keep it the way it is.

I don't think I've ever seen so many tipped passes or drops in one game, Bradford must have had 5 of his tipped. There must have been 10 drops too.

Congrats Seahawks fans. What a friggin' game drawn up by Pete and his guys.

First year: .500 record (err, maybe not!), playoff berth, and who knows what else. Hell of a turnaround!

Right...you can't just throw a division out because they are crapty. Other wise you'll just have two divisions and take it from there. No longer will there be division rivalries. Play each team in your conference/"division" once and one team from the other conference/"division." That would suck.

I'll tell you this: if the 7-9 Seahawks beat the Saints, the Falcons, and then the winner of the other bracket to reach the Super Bowl, then yes, I want to see them in it. Same with any other team. It means they earned it.

really rams? the niners demand a re-match:icon_evil: the seahawks got blown the heck out worst in the division all year. when then get smashed in the playoffs, im going to laugh so freaking hard. I blame Mike Sing and whole niner coaching staff. We had many winable games this year like vs saints. that freaking d-coordinator blew that crap with some crapty prevent defense call even tho we were getting pressure on brees. :icon_sad:

You guys got very lucky that we choked in the first game. Choking has been a bit of a theme this season, having blown three wins from crapty second half play (Raiders, Buccaneers & @49ers).

As much as it sucks to see the Rams fall at the last hurdle last night, it was be unfair not to say that it has been an amazing year. A 1-15 to 7-9 transition with a team that is lacking talent in a lot of key areas is simply amazing, and whilst a playoff appearance would have been fantastic, having a first half pick in the NFL Draft will help the team in the long run.

Wasn't hard to figure out though where the problems are, because they have been the same all year long. Tackles need a serious upgrade, running game down the middle has been raping us all year long, along with the big plays that show up our still pretty lacklustre secondary. Offense has been way too conservative this year, although this came after Clayton's injury more so than Shurmur being scared of letting Bradford off the chains. Line could still do with a bit of strengthening in the interior also.

But still, 7-9 is a hell of a result considering most (including myself) didn't have the team winning any more than 3.
