AMAZING IDEA!! we are bloggers. We write opinion pieces no?? So, here's my idea! It's kind of stealing but building on an idea. Bloggers can sign up RIGHT now for a division. For example, since it's MY idea, I'M going to take the NFC East. You break down each team and you can grade them. So here's what we do. You give a grade based on... Offense: Defense: Special Teams: Coaching: Teams MVP: Who hurt them the most: Each of us takes a division. This is only if people REALLY want to do this. I would just do it all myself but I won't lie, I don't know CRAP about the AFC...other than the AFC East. So...thoughts?
Kinda like how ESPN does their blogs? They have a writer for each division. Is that what you mean Duke?
Well...kind of. I was thinking more along the lines of a 1 time blog each and have 1 person grade their division but you know what, the regular blogger for each division might not be so bad. They can blog about that division throughout the year as well. It might help keep some blogs focused and make it a little easier to handle. I like it!!! And off topic, is it cool to blog about non football things during the off season?
Actually the blog is focused on the NFL. You of course are more than welcome to post a new thread in any forum. It could be a good way to get your word and name out there too. I am trying to setup a way for members to be able to generate rss feeds for their content so they can submit their feeds to some mash-up and then syndicate to sites like Bleacher Report.
Just thinking of maybe doing a podcast each week perhaps? I know that there are programs online that you can do podcasts, live or recorded and make them happen. Either have 2 guys on here do a traditional podcast or do a weekly radio show people can listen to on a site like BlogTalkRadio.com or simply do a weekly podcast. Skype with 1 or 2 folks and record it maybe? Not sure of the specifics of it, but it might be something worthwhile.
I would love a podcast on the site. I would want to make sure that whichever podcast we would have representing the site would be dedicated enough to bringing a good product to listeners consistently. I'd hate for an idea like that to fizzle out. Hell, I'd hate for the blog to fizzle out.
Duke that is a great idea. If we have the capability of making something like that happen I'd say go for it balls to the wall. That would definitely separate GIF from other NFL or sports MBs.
