Patriots WR Deion Branch Rips Jets For Postgame Celebrations

Discussion in 'New England Patriots' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jan 16, 2011.

  1. Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch ripped the Jets for their classlessness at the conclusion of Sunday's playoff loss. The Jets knocked out the Pats, 28-21, at Gillette Stadium, and they celebrated on the field by flipping off the Patriots fans who remained in attendance, among other things Branch wouldn't get into. "It was a lot of classless play on the football field after the game, but you have to expect that from some of the guys over there," Branch said. Branch was visibly distraught by the Jets' actions, and he said he was "embarrassed" by their foul activity. "I'm a champion, and I'm always going to congratulate the guys on the victory," Branch said. "They beat us [Sunday]. They beat us when it mattered, so the ones with class, I shook their hands. The other ones, I didn’t. They don’t deserve my nor my teammates' congratulations for them to act like that. You can tell they're not used to being in this position."

I was going to call him a whiny little snitch, but if they were really flipping off the fans, I can understand it.

Eh. Pats are always accused of "classness" behavior and I defend them. Will defend the Jets now. It's a dirty mean sport, who says class needs to be part of it.

STUPID! They're walking around flipping off the fans (including children sitting there) and yelling obscenities to the crowd (which again, include children). Before you say "children hear that from the fans," these guys are professional athletes and supposedly role models. I have a friend who was in Foxboro and he said some of the Jets players were yelling at some dude in the crowd to "Keep crying like a little snitch! We came into your house and hecked y'all up!" I'm all for talking crap and stuff, but he was yelling this at a dude who was sitting there looking shocked with his son next to him. I hope the Jets get KILLED next week.

I spose everyone has forgotten the Patriots doing the same to the Chargers a couple years back. Karma always has a way of evening things out.

First mistake is looking at athletes as role models....role models should be people that you know on a personal level.

    Stinger75 It's Showtime, Folks!

These two teams are the dirtiest teams in the NFL... & I'm a Raiders Fan! Seriously, how many videos of that kick team wall of each team do we need to see to know that the coaches of these teams will do whatever it takes to win.

Drug test each player on each team, and I can imagine there will be 10+ players suspended too.

    Ditto...

With all the crap the Jets where talking last week, they backed it up by beating the Pats in Foxboro.

If the Jets were in fact flipping off fans I have a major problem with that. Even if they aren't role models, they ARE professionals. Act like it then, you won't see me telling to people who pay for me having a job to heck off to their face.
