Anyone else get the feeling that had the Bears not faced the Seahawks in the last round, we would not have this match-up right now. Absolutely appalling, that first half performance is an insult to the history and the fans of the Bears.
Hate the f'n Packers but you shouldn't discount their D. Give these guys their props. These guys have made quite a few offenses look like crap....just that they didn't have to go as far with this Bear offense to get that result.
The Packers winning the George S. Halas Trophy at Solider Field would take this rivalry up a few notches......
They've been too passive early but tightened up to hold Rodgers, amazingly enough, to only 14. The offense is just being exposed like most experts/fans knew of having a weak OL & mediocre WRs. They haven't given up, just don't have the firepower to get over on the pack.
Cutler has been absolutely awful this first half. He missed Hester deep early on and it seems he's never recovered. That INT at the end of the half was horrible. All he had to do on that drive was NOT turn it over. Even if they would have punted after getting all three downs to try to get in scoring position would have been ok after the INT by Briggs. Any momentum the Bears got from the Briggs INT was flushed down the toilet there. No joke....The Packers really had a chance to put a stranglehold on this game and are lucky that wacky INT didn't burn them. At this rate? I agree. The Bears offense seems completely lost. That holding call was huge though. The Bears offense seemed to be getting some rhythm and Cutler hit Rashied Davis for a first down inside the 20 only to have it called back for holding. The Bears offense needs something now.
They could be down by a lot more right now if not for showing fight. The Packers are simply superior.
