Titans, Coach Jeff Fisher Part Ways After 16 Seasons

A lot of news outlets and fans in Philadelphia are calling for this reunion to happen. He was their old DC on Buddy Ryan's staff in the late 80's.

 

Work as the Birds DC and then he'd make a nice replacement for Andy Reid. lol...

 

Ward just pointed out an interesting scenario....he could re-join Philadelphia as a defensive coordinator and could eventually become their head coach when Andy Reid leaves. He won't be there forever.....turned out to be true for Fish in Tennessee.

Fisher coordinated some legendary defenses along with Ryan with the Eagles.

 

I believe Fisher was a DC in Houston before he took the Head job...

 

I can see him in the booth before returning as a DC...he'd easily get a head coaching gig if he wants one next season.

 

In 1994....same year he became interim coach.

 

He'll probably wait until the CBA is inked before making a decision to coach again unless he's offered a top-notch college job............And I don't see one happening.

Well, sucks that this day came but it was bound to happen eventually. You know what would be hilarious? If Fisher ends up outsing Lane Kiffin at USC.

I think Fisher will be a head coach if he gets back in coaching. I can't see someone of his stature in the league taking a step back as a defensive coordinator.

 

Maybe if Colts' fans continue to criticize Jim Caldwell and call for a coaching change:

Hopefully Fisher will go to a team that actually opens their wallets to take out $$$ more then stuffing them into their wallets.

 

Plenty of head coaches have made the move to coordinator after they got canned. Far less stress, maybe no opening HC positions available...

 

Sounds like he's not going to take any job anytime soon......
