Sources Say Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald Could Be Available At Right Price

Discussion in 'Arizona Cardinals' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jan 27, 2011.

  1. For the right price, Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald could be available in a trade, according to league sources, but that doesn't mean the Cards are actively trying to unload him. In fact, no one polled for this story had any direct knowledge of whether the Cardinals have had any legitimate discussions about trading their star receiver, so take that for what it's worth. Fitzgerald is regarded as one of the three best wide receivers in the NFL, along with Detroit's Calvin Johnson and Houston's Andre Johnson, and he's got immense talent and a pristine reputation off the field. The Patriots might be in play for a wide receiver this offseason. Bengals wideout Chad Ochocinco has been linked to New England, and former Pats receiver Donte Stallworth told NESN.com he'd be "100 percent" interested in returning to New England.

Would all but ensure the Cards would be back as perennial losers for years to come. Just want to see Fitz somewhere where his talents can be fully utilized.

Would he want to split catches on that team?

    That's what I was thinking 127.

Also this GIS image came up when I was searching for the image that might represent that.

    I have no idea why.

I hope no one has any nightmares.

IF Fitzgerald were actually available to the highest bidder, wouldn't be surprised at all if he ended up in KC. He's got the history with Haley and WR is one position on the Chiefs that needs help. Don't think the Chiefs would mortgage the farm, but Fitz at WR would make them very serious contenders with continued growth from Cassel and some tweaks on D.

Yeah, the price is going to be so high, it's not worth mortgaging the future for a WR unless that's the one missing piece. (If you do it year after year, maybe that wasn't the missing piece Baltimore)

All depends on Fitz's perception as to whether the Cards addressed the QB mess. If he agrees with whatever is decided he'll be happy and stay. If he perceives another season like last season, he's gone....period.
