NFL Scout Says Auburn QB Cam Newton Could Go No.1 Overall

An NFL scout told Ross Tucker of Fox Sports that he believes Auburn quarterback Cam Newton could be the first overall pick in April's draft. "If VY went #3 & Tebow 1st Rd, wouldn't surprise me at all if Cam Newton went #1. His upside is limitless," Tucker wrote on his Twitter page.

While I agree Newton has tons of potential, potential should not and will not get a player drafted 1st overall.

I freaking hate all of this time after the bowl games leading to the draft. All of these supposed 'sources' talking their client up, Kiper with his crapty mock, bunch of dollars changing hands just to lobby and get a guy more hype than the next.
