Well, then either you refuse to understand the award or just feel the award shouldn't even be around. Not seeing how Vick is the award winner especially with the history the award has had just seems baffling to me. But it is what it is I guess.

 

Totally understand the award. Just don't think Vick was deserving. He faced no adversity going from 2009 to 2010. Simply because he played "crapty" in 2009 but showed progress, doesn't do it for me.

 

Dude....he's two years removed from being in prison. Who else has made a comeback like him after being in prison?

He showed more than progress. He went from crapty to phenomenal. An out of shape back-up to one of the premiere players in the game in one season. I still don't think you totally understand the award.

 

The prison thing is what the media brings up, but he won the award because of his improvement from last season.

 

I am with you 100% on this. I don't think Vick should of gotten the award this year. I just think the league is using Vick as a poster child to show "troubled" players that there is hope after you get in trouble. ie Pacman.. lol

And you guys can read all the hate you want from me.. I can't stand Vick. He has put my favorite dog breed back 10 years with his asinine BS that he pulled. Now every time someone sees my dog the first thing they think of is Vick.. heckin assbag.. /rant

One last thing.. I will give him his props for his play. The dude played at a level I thought he would never play at. And it pisses me off to no end.

Vince Young?? LMAO!! Rest easy man. Young will not even be close to what Vick is. Not even the same type of athlete. I put Young in the Jawalruss category.. An over hyped, over paid, over everything... No worries here man. :beer:

EDIT: And I am a huge Texas fan. I loved Vince at Texas and even thought he might end up a serviceable QB one day... I am eating my words a lot nowadays.. lol

That might have played a roll in why Vick won the award. Cause come to think of it... There really isn't another player that came back from anything. blah..

 

About the only guy I would consider would be E.J. Henderson of the Vikings. He has a Tim Krumrie type leg break and was able to comeback and be a Pro Bowl alternate. Only catch? His injury happened in the playoffs.....so for the most part he was available all of last year. But some people thought that was a career ending injury for a while.

Who don't you know.....Henderson or Krumrie? Krumrie was a NT for the Bengals back in the 80's. Real tough SOB who was stout vs the run. He suffered this horrific injury vs the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIII:
